Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives

Faculty of Agricultural Technology, University of Jember

Vision: 

Become a faculty that excels in the fields of science, technology and engineering, and agricultural/plantation business that is principled in the development of environmentally sound Industrial agriculture. 

Mission: 

• organizing academic education with an agro-technopreneurship perspective (education, research, and community service) that supports industrial agricultural development; 

• develop and preserve the results of science and technology innovation creations in the field of environmentally sound agricultural technology; 

• empowering agribusiness communities in the application of appropriate technology in agriculture based on local wisdom; 

• develop a network of cooperation with stakeholders and other institutions at home and abroad. 

Objective: 

• to produce graduates with high competitiveness and agro-technopreneurship insight;

• produce innovative and creative science, technology, and engineering works to support environmental conservation, business development, and industrial agriculture that can be applied to society; 

• realizing FTP as a center of excellence for learning and research in the field of agricultural / plantation technology; 

Objective:

• Achieving excellent and/or superior study program accreditation ratings by national and/or international accreditation agencies;

• Achieving intellectual graduates who are able to compete at the national level;

• Improved quality of research and scientific publications both at national and international levels;

• Strengthening the culture of social hospitality in applying science, technology and arts to society;

• Increasing the work of tridarma in the field of industrial agriculture, which has benefits to society and the environment;

• Increased national and international cooperation in the tridarma activities of higher education;

• Achieving transparent and accountable governance.

Main Duties and Functions

Principal Duties

• Organizing and managing academic education in 1 (one) or several trees/groups of science and/or technology 

Function

• Implementation and development of education within the Faculty of Agricultural Technology;

• Implementation of research for the development of science and/or technology within the Faculty of Agricultural Technology;

• Implementation of community service in accordance with the scientific fields within the Faculty of Agricultural Technology;

• Implementation of coaching the Academic Community and Education Personnel within the Faculty of Agricultural Technology; and

• Implementation of administrative affairs of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology.
